St. Patrick's Day Tournament - Vale de Milho

Although nobody mentioned it beforehand, more and more participants entered the Clubhouse dressed in green. The only Irish participant loved it, but wasn't dressed in green. His excuse? He has a real Irish accent! The weather was lovely and at 9h30 five flights started a chapman greensome. It is always fun to play in teams and this St. Patrick's Day it was the same. On the course Andrew brought us homemade Irish cupcakes, to increase the revelry.

Back in the Clubhouse everybody was served green beer or wine, which looked poisonous, but in fact tasted the same as always. In the meantime all tables inside were laid in a real St. Patrick's Day manner and soon the lunch could be served. There was Irish pie, cabbage and new potatoes and for dessert ... Irish Coffee (of course).

Normally golfers score many Stableford points in greensomes, but not on March 17, probably because of the strong winds. Nevertheless Jim and Rosemary were the deserved winners with 42 points. Congratulations! After prize giving, festivities continued till 5 pm ...

Winners: Jim & Rosemary (42 points)
2nd place: Robert & Christine (41 points)
3rd place: Mike & Lily (40 points)
